Just as the sun is rising on Thursday 1st May 2025 at about 5:40am, Dartington Morris will dance at Totnes Castle (with the permission of English Heritage).
We look forward to welcoming visitors to join us, as we have done for the past few years, with many a brave soul getting up and out before dawn.
We will sing May Day songs and performed a number of dances in the Cotswold tradition, while we welcome our audience with warm, spicy apple juice and fruity cake.
Dartington Morris are again hosting an annual Day of Morris Dancing in Totnes on Saturday 13 September 2025.
Eleven invited guest sides will join Dartington Morris, starting at 11am and finishing at around 3pm.
On display will be a mixture of Cotswold Morris and Border Morris.

Our practice season this year starts on Friday 4 October (2024) and we are keen to encourage anyone interested in this fascinating English tradition to give Morris a go!
Just as the sun was rising on Wednesday 1st May 2024 at about 5:40am, Dartington Morris danced at Totnes Castle. This year we were delighted to have an audience of about forty people join us for the celebration.
The mist hung over Totnes so we didn't see the sun appear this year, sadly. We sang May Day songs and performed a number of dances in the Cotswold tradition, while we welcomed our audience with warm, spicy apple juice and fruit cake.
Dartington Morris once again an annual Day of Morris Dancing in Totnes on Saturday 16 September 2022.
Eight local guest sides joined Dartington Morris and a mixture of Cotswold Morris and Border Morris were on display.
Dartington Morris presented a day of dance, music and theatre based on the legend of Brutus in Totnes on Saturday 8 July 2023.
Dartington Morris were delighted to be invited to take part in the short film Hell's Bells, written and directed by Devon-based director Luke Jeffery and released by Wandering Tiger.
