Dartington Morris once again hosted an annual Day of Morris Dancing in Totnes, on Saturday 13 September 2025.
Here's the printable A4 poster.
The full schedule for the day is available as a printable A4 PDF document.
We were joined by guest Morris sides from the Open Morris, Morris Federation, and Morris Ring, from Devon, Cornwall and Essex.
We started at 10:30am and finished at around 4:15pm, with a variety of Morris dance styles on display around the town centre.
The following fourteen sides joined us:
- Belles of London City from London (Cotswold)
- Beltane Border Morris (Border)
- Glory of the West (Cotswold)
- Lodestone Border Morris
- Newton Bushel (Cotswold)
- Old Town Twelves
- Otter Morris (Border)
- Plymouth Clog (North-West Clog dancers)
- Plymouth Morris (Cotswold)
- Thaxted Morris from Essex (Cotswold)
- The WAD from Cornwall
- Trigg Morris from Cornwall (Cotswold)
- Tywardreath Morris from Cornwall (Cotswold)
together with the host side, Dartington Morris.
Dancing took place at various locations in the town, including the Plains, Vire Island, St Mary's church, Guildhall and Rotherfold. We visited the Bay Horse Inn, the King William IV and the day finished on the Plains, centred on the Dartmouth Inn.
There was music and song aplenty at our pub stops!
Watch out for our 2026 event, planned for Saturday 12 September.
